Item Description:	Africa Aid 2011 – Horn of Africa Crisis Horn of Africa Famine - 10 million suffer hunger Over 10 million people are suffering from famine, hunger and violence in the Horn of Africa region. Yet there is very little media coverage. Even more concerning is the inadequate level of activity by international governments and NGO’s to raise the massive amounts of funds needed to alleviate the suffering of these people. Over 200,000 people, some living under plastic sheeting spread over sticks. This is shocking and very distressing. What is becoming of us as people? These people need help desperately and now. The G8 summit in Italy in 2009 promised £13 billion for agricultural projects in Africa. A report states that only one fifth of the money has been donated, with one year to go. This is quite dismal performance by our governments. These people are suffering daily and need help desperately. Donate money now so we can buy food, medicines, tents, plastic sheeting etc and send it to them urgently.
